St. Francis Hospital Expansion
When St. Francis Hospital in Tulsa, Oklahoma began the new Trauma and Emergency room expansion project the first task required clearing some room to build the new 7 story TEC tower. Obstacales existed at every turn during this complicated selective and structural demolition project. DT (Demolition Technologies) began early in the process with help in the demolition planning and budgeting.
The project consisted of removal of a 150,000 square foot chapel and convent. The buildings conected to the active hospital and the steam and sewer piping that operated the hospital was in the basement of the chapel building that was being removed. The schedule allowed no time for mistakes as mass excavation was in progress for the basement level of the new tower.
Interior selective demolition included the removal of stairs, escalators, and exterior pre-cast panels to allow connection of the new structure.
DT (Demolition Technolgies) worked with Manhattan Construction to complete the complicated demolition project ahead of schedule.
